Microsoft 365 Premium Copilot: Buy or Skip

Affiliate disclosure may apply. Recheck Microsoft plan pages because packaging changes.

Microsoft 365 Premium Copilot is an Office bundle, not VS Code or GitHub Copilot coding. Solo freelancers should compare it with plain Microsoft 365 and ChatGPT.

Where Copilot lives

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Copilot app are the practical places to assess. Start with the tasks you already repeat and check whether the bundle removes real friction.

Buy or skip

Buy if you use Office daily and the included AI saves editing time. Skip if you mainly need occasional chat, coding help, or tools outside Microsoft’s ecosystem. Verify current pricing and account limits.
