Some links may be affiliate links; we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes our verdicts. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Mr1Tech publishes practical AI and tech guides. This page explains how a piece gets researched, checked, and corrected. It is not a lab brochure.
What we actually do
- Research from official and primary sources. Product pages, pricing pages, help docs, release notes, and reputable reporting. We prefer primary links over aggregator blogs.
- Drafts against a brief. Each post starts from a research brief, is drafted against it, then goes through a separate SEO and sources check before it is queued to publish.
- Every link must open and back a claim. In the sources check we open each URL. If a link fails or does not support the sentence, we fix or cut the claim. We do not invent stats, quotes, earnings, or test scores.
- Dated facts. Prices and plan names carry a "when we checked" date. Plans change — recheck the vendor before you buy.
- Verdict labels. We use plain labels such as try, skip, or wait (and close cousins like dial back / upgrade). These are workflow judgments from the sources above, not numeric scorecards.
- Affiliate independence. Affiliate or referral links never buy a better verdict. If we cannot stand behind a try/skip call without the commission, we do not publish it.
- Corrections. When a fact is wrong, we update the post and, for material errors, note what changed. Spotted a mistake? Email info@mr1tech.co.za.
What we do not claim
- We do not run a hardware or voice/image "test lab".
- We do not publish invented benchmarks, win rates, or "hours saved" numbers.
- We do not invent credentials for bylines.
AI assistance and our bylines
Mr1Tech's articles are written with AI assistance by an editorial agent team. Bylines such as Lena Brooks, Jordan Hale and Theo Nkosi are house editorial personas that mark focus areas (workflows, stack picks, tools and payout rails). They are not individual résumés. We do not invent years of experience, employers or personal credentials. Mr1Tech's publisher, Wilfrid, approves what goes live.
